…Season 1, Episode 2 of the “Modern Love,” based on the New York Times column of the same name.

As the episode neared its conclusion, I heard a song that made me sit up.

I turned to my wife and asked, “Do you know this song?” She didn’t.

So I pressed pause, grabbed my phone, fired up the Shazam app (must have for scenarios like this), and discovered Nerina Pallot.

I’ve dug into her catalog since. But I’ll save all of that for another day.
